Eagle Scout Scholarship

The Sons of the American Revolution recognize scouts upon their outstanding achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout and assist selected Eagle Scouts to further their education through a Scholarship Program. In October 2005, the Marshes of Glynn Chapter mailed a Certificate of Recognition and scholarship information to thirty-eight new Eagle Scouts in the Okefenokee Area Council. In order to participate in the Scholarship Program, Eagle Scouts must fill out an Application form, complete a Four Generation Ancestor Chart, and prepare an essay of not more than 500 words on a patriotic theme. A special patch is given for each Eagle Scout who participates in this program; and the Marshes of Glynn Chapter winner is awarded a Medal and his Application is entered in the Georgia Society SAR Eagle Scout Scholarship Program. William F. Ramsaur is the Compatriot who directs the program for the Marshes of Glynn Chapter.
