The objective of the Flag Respect Program is to recognize organizations who demonstrate exemplary patriotism in the proper display of the Flag of the United States of American by awarding a Certificate of Commendation.

The role of the Flag in American culture is unique among nations. We are the only country to have a Flag Day, Flag etiquette, National Anthem- the Star Spangled Banner- dedicated to its flag, and a verbal Flag salute- the Pledge of Allegiance. These customs form the core of American Patriotism.

The Certificate of Commendation has been presented by the Marshes of Glynn Chapter to the following organizations:

Brunswick Plant of Hercules, Inc.

Employees, including 25 veterans, erected a 25 by 40-foot flag on a 100-foot flag pole at the entrance of the plant on Glynn Avenue in Brunswick. When we presented them a Certificate of Commendation in August 2004, Karl Bostaph, Plant Manager said, "All of us take great pride in being Americans and in our flag."
